At the end of April, the International Labor Organization (ILO) held a training for the organizations whose members are enterprises.

The training was attended by 24 participants from 18 countries, 3 from Europe and others from Africa and Southern America.

“Its a training course that ILO is organizing for a longer time. During this course the following were approached: lobby, advocacy, services, communication, decision making process within an organization, transparency in decision making, etc. The best practices of some internationally renowned organizations were presented. For me it was a very effective exercise. I found out that in some countries the labor law is very restrictive in some countries and does not offer guarantees to foreign investors. They look for associations mainly to be protected against unions and authorities”, mentioned Vladislav Caminschi, the executive director of the National Confederation of Employees that participated at the training.

“I would like to mention that the experience of WMO is a large one in the field. Trainers contracted by them are highly qualified. Another aspect of the training is the exchange of experience between the participating organizations”, added Vladislav Caminschi.

The executive director of the NCEM states that in lobby and advocacy there are some experiences that the Confederation could take over: lobby plan or matrix that would bring a more systemic approach in organizations activity.

The training finished with a test evaluating the gained knowledge. Certificates offered by the ILO are recognized by the United Nations system.
