The exhibition “Made in Moldova” was opened during 27-29 April in Ploiesti with the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister Gratiela Gavrilescu and of the Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova Octavian Calmic.
Over 40 companies from the Republic of Moldova have exposed their products that represent such fields as food industry and agriculture, wine, spirits and fruit juices production, construction materials and furnishing elements, woodworking, metal constructions and insulation works, plastic articles, electronic equipment, professional services – evaluation, audit, training and attestation, mediacl services, clothing, footwear, bijouterie and accessories.
AT the exhibition also participated the Bread maker company “Franzeluta”, member of the National Confederation of Employers of the Republic of Moldova. The company presented a wide assortment of products and organized degustation of rye bread, sweet cakes, biscuits and pretzels. All the presented products were highly appreciated by the visitors for the taste qualities.
President of the Prahova County Council Bogdan Toader stressed the importance of the event for the bilateral relations between the two countries, pointing that it is a tradition for the Prahova county to cooperate with districts from the Republic of Moldova.
President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova Sergiu Herea declared: “For 16 years the exhibition “Made in Moldova” is organized in Chisinau but we wanted to support this event abroad as well and the easies was just to cross Prut river. Last year the event was organized in Iasi and as it was a successful event we decided to repeat the experiment, now being happy to be in Prahova, at Ploiesti. Throgh a good organization of the event we hope that new partnerships will be created in the context that in present 1.600 companies with a Romanian capital work in Moldova.”
The exhibition was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova in partnership with Moldova Investment and Export Promotion Organization (MIEPO), Chamber of Commerce and Industry Prahova, Prahova County Council and the Euroregion Association Siret-Prut-Dniester. The exhibition program also included a Moldovan-Romanian Forum with a participation of over 90 companies from the two countries.
