Recently in Chisinau was held Meeting of the Ordinary Congress IV of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where participated 175 delegates, decision makers from Moldova, guests from Romania, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Lithuania, etc.
The agenda of the event included: Presenting the activity of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RM in the period between the 3rd and 4th Congresses (August 17, 2012 – August 10, 2017); approval of some amendments to the Statute of the CCI; approval of the main directions and activity programs of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Republic of Moldova for 2017-2022; elect the Council of the Chamber; the Censors Commission and the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova.
The event was also attended by Pavel Filip, Prime-minister of the Republic of Moldova has appreciated the activity of the institution and its role in supporting business environment, focusing at the same time on the partnership between the Government and economic agents that target on the investment contribution, thus stimulating creation of the new, well paid jobs.
“The Republic of Moldova has to grow on 3 important pilots: law supremacy, education and a developed infrastructure. When you don’t have possibility to invest, you cannot have qualitative education or modern infrastructure. Business environment is the foundation of development of the country”, declared Pavel Filip.
The event was also attended by the President of the National Confederation of the Employers of Moldova, Leonid Cerescu. In his speech he mentioned that one of CCI priorities is increasing the role of its members and developing the business environment in our country. “Besides many other conditions for economic development is necessary to solve the problem of training human resources for the economic sector of the country: preparing the employees with high degree of professionalism with abilities necessary in developing modern technologies and equipment”, said Leonid Cerescu. He mentioned that it would be good that CCI to be represented on all the platforms of negotiations and consultancies and in the case that this is not possible, Cerescu proposed to use NCEM as partner in promoting CCI objectives.

The ordinary congress of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova is organized once in 5 years to elect the Council, Censors Commission as well as the President of CCI. Also, within the Congress of this year main directions and program of activities of the CCI for 2017-2022 have been presented.
